Newcastle Interested in Valery Domovchiyski

Bulgarian sports website Gong reported on Wednesday, Newcastle United is tracking Levski Sofia and Bulgaria under-21 striker Valery Domovchiyski. Domovchiyski, 21, has already played three matches for Bulgaria’s senior team and is Levski’s leading goalscorer this season, with seven strikes in 7 matches.

Gong also said that Newcastle United already sent an the scout team to watch Domovchiyski during the European under-21 qualification matches against England and Ireland over the next week.

Fiorentina, Udinese, Sporting Lisbon and Olympiacos Athens also reported to be interested to sign the player.

Meanwhile, Middlesbrough Goalkeeping coach Paul Barron is expected to complete his move to Newcastle after Australia’s friendly against Nigeria in London this weekend.

Boro gave the Geordies permission to speak to the former Arsenal and QPR keeper last week but he is now working with the Socceroos squad for their game at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
