When We Ever Said Enough and Keep Re-Building?

For someone who is set his heart to Newcastle United and keep following the same team for most of the last 15 years, I’m probably too young to say anything about the true Geordies passion. I may not following this team long enough to have the rights to say that this club need more than just a good manager.

During that period, I have seen so many famous names (well, maybe not all of them) come and go as Newcastle manager. Kevin Keegan’s “Entertainers” has drag my attention and since then I declare myself as Toon Army till I die. Before fall in love with United, I was one of those AC Milan tifoso since 1986, and watching Liverpool game once a while.

Now, we have Sam Allardyce and the same old story is about to repeat again if United out of this season FA Cup challenge at Britannia. And the name who is the leading candidate as his replacement is the Geordie boy Alan Shearer.

Back to my question above, when we ever said enough and keep re-building? The answer is probably blowing in the wind or hiding somewhere behind the fog of the Tyne.

These days, it’s hard to not having mass attention from the public and the press, especially for a big club like Newcastle. What we may need the most is time to build the new team with the minimum of interference from the media or anyone else, including me.

It doesn’t mean we need to build the Gallowgate version of Chinese Great Wall, but the proper coverage with ballance report from everyone is needed. What I have read since the first United’s slump this season was totally unbelievable and most of them are packed with negative thoughts.

Big Sam said the fans are have all the rights to get angry and upset by our current performance, and the chairman also understand that most of the Geordies have been working very hard to get the chance to sit inside St. James’ Park every time United play.

Now, what I want to say is no matter how bad is we’re chanting out when Newcastle is having poor game, the Toon Army will always coming back and support the Lads in United’s next fixture, because for most of the Geordies faithful, Supporting the Toon is Our Duty.

Today, I will be able to watch the FA Cup game, cheering the lads and wearing my nice and clean jersey although just sitting infront of the square-box with moving picture.
