Week ten of the FA Centre of Excellence programme

The Newcastle Girls FA Centre of Excellence squads are into week ten of the fixtures programme and teams are starting to play their return games.

Last weekend Newcastle played the West Yorkshire FA Centre of Excellence at the under 12, under 14 and under 16 age groups at Coach Lane.

Rob Atkin Centre Director “The second round of fixtures will give all of the coaches at every centre the opportunity to evaluate how well the players have progressed over the first ten weeks, from Newcastle`s point of view we have to be very pleased with the way the players have improved over such a short space of time. The standard of play in the games against West Yorkshire last Saturday was very high indeed”

Newcastle will host Sunderland Centre of Excellence at under 12`s and under 16`s this Saturday at Coach Lane with ther under10`s and under 14`s travelling to Sunderland, all games will kick off at 10-30am.
