Speaking infront of the limited and lucky Geordies faithful on his first presentation by the club today, Kevin Keegan has vowed to give Newcastle United supporters “something worth watching”.

Have been so closed to the first title in more than three decades back in 1996, Newcastle saw Manchester United pipped our 12-point lead. Today, Special K sees there’s no reason why we can’t go one step better to end United’s long wait for another silverware.

“I want to win something and I want to give supporters what they want,” said Keegan. “I was impressed with Mike Ashley because I asked him what he wanted and he said he wants to win things.”

King Kev is believe we have the possibility to break again into the top four next season and to win either one of the League Carling Cup or the FA Cup. Keegan said that we have been there before, in the top four, and he will do his best to get United back to where we belong.

Keegan says that he wants to give the Toon Army something to shout about, he knows that the fans have been worked all week so they can come to the match and for them it’s like people down south going to the theatre. Keegan knows exactly what the Toon Army wanted to see and will make sure they will enjoy it, again.

“I want them to go home thinking that was good. They want us to have a go and that’s why I’m here – we will have a go.” Keegan added, “But there’s only one place we can do that and that’s out there on the pitch.”

Tomorrow, the welcome party at St. James’ Park will be a very special one. With the visit of Bolton at Galowgate End, Kevin Keegan will walk out from St. James’ Park tunnel for the first time this season, and he will shows the world again, the real Newcastle United is.
