]]>From what I’ve read, the new sponsor Wonga have a bad reputation with the public because they charge very high interest rates. Everyone assumed that this was a bad deal for NUFC because of that and also because they assumed that Wonga Park/Stadium would also follow soon.
And then by a stroke of genius and in an instant, Wonga have immediately got the fans back onside by including in the deal, the rights to change the name back to SJP. Nothing but good things being said about the Wonga/NUFC deal at the moment by both fans and the media.
Still not sure what happens when the four year deal is up, does Ashley will rename the stadium back to Sports Direct Arena until a new sponsor is found and pays to do the same thing?
And finally, after taking a deep breath, a glass of black coffee and pack of cigarette, I write this article and declared that although I’m sad and not happy with Wonga’s appointment, I welcome them to the club and hope that their missions to investing in Newcastle United’s young talent by providing significant financial support for the Academy, was not just written on a paper.
PS: Thanks to Paul English for your honest opinon, so I can write this

]]>The current sponsorship contract with Virgin Money, reportedly worth ‘only 3 million pounds’ per season, was reported being called an early halt tonight although Virgin Money sponsorhip agrement was only signed in January this year.
Llambias said that the club is looking for more valuable kit sponsorship, and who knows we can have something that close to what Manchester United’s record of $559 million deal with Chevrolet.
I was – in my own personal thought as a Toon fan – hoping that if any new ‘crazy’ deal is actually out there, the club directors should give Pardew a more significant amount of transfer budget next summer.
But, I also have fear that the new sponsor deal will then following with another stadium name change as part of the new deal. This is not a kind of stability that most of the Toon fans would be expecting from the club directors and chairman.
While in recently the Toon fans are beginning to give some respect to both Mike Ashley and Derek Llambias for the good achievement we have last season, they should not ruin it with any ‘bad moves’ which will resulting negative meaning of ‘stability’.

]]>Shane Ferguson could be terrific but we can’t depend on him at this stage. We need another center back. I said this long before Williamson got injured, but it is is now a high priority. I guess the ideal would be a good full back who could also play effectively at center back.
Despite the apparent numerical stength in midfield, we ended up with Alan Smith coming on yesterday. We lack genuine cover for Tiote and Cabaye in the centre, and are only an injury or two away from Guthrie being back in the team.
Gosling and Vuckic offer possible alternatives to Cabaye, but Gosling is still recovering from a potential career-ending injury, and for some curious reason wasn’t even on the bench yesterday. Vuckic picked up yet another inury yesterday, and seems to be on the way to becoming a permacrock.
We are desperately lacking a player who can effectively link midfield and the striker(s). Lovenkrands is simply not effective in this role, and we have to hope we can get Hatem Ben Arfa back, keep him on the pitch, and quickly.
Up front, I believe we need two strikers, not one. Lovenkrands is simply not good enough, and Ranger is on his way out. Best and Shola are barely good enough and perpetually injury prone. Imho, we missed a major opportunity by letting Shane Long go to WBA – he is playing well for the Baggies and would have been the perfect replacement for Lovenkrands. We might get by with Shola, Best, Ba and ANO if Sameobi can continue his current rate of development and make a genuine contribution.
Frankly, I feel we are about five players short of where we really need to be.

]]>We already have Mehdi Abeid from Racing Club Lens and two more Lens prospects have arrived at Newcastle United on trials. Two of the new trialists are central defensive duo William Remy (20 year-old) and Darnel Situ (19 year-old), both are French youth internationals.
The two trialists are included in Peter Beardsley’s Newcastle reserves side closed doors friendly match against Gateshead reserves on Wednesday. Our youth team won it 5-0, Marveaux is having a good game while another new boys Mehdi Abeid and Yven Moyo both have their penalty attempts saved.
Shane Ferguson and United new signings Sylvain Marveaux both completed 90 minutes of play and it looks like Alan Pardew will include them on his senior team squad for Saturday’s match against the mackems.
Meanwhile, the race to land a full back and striker for the senior team is still not showing any clear vision to become reality, both of our targets are having walls to tumbling down. Modibo Maiga still on hold by his current club, while PSV’s full back Erik Pieters was in their starting line-up for today’s Europa League clash with SV Ried.
Another name who comes up recently, Lyon’s Aly Cissokho is probably will cost us more than £7m for the 23-year-old service as the price asked by the French club.

]]>This Newcastle team is still in progressing, and only time will tell where we will be ended at the final season next year, which I hope we will stay as Premier League team.
I still gives a huge credit for what Chris Hughton has did so far for this club, and will never say that he’s doing the job half-heartedly because he doesn’t received a proper appreciation from the Toon management, in terms of good salary and a new contract.
Last night defeat was not 100% Hughton’s fault, even Maurinho can’t give us a win against a newly good solid Bolton team with our current squad, not to mention that we are playing without at least three of our first team players.
I want Newcastle to reach top of the league, and who doesn’t? But, isn’t it sweet if we can achieve that base on fight for it and not instantly like “Buy for It”, so please give him our 100% support, stop put the blame on him, we will be alright!
He has done wonderful jobs last season in Championships, and also did great this year in our bid to stay, I repeat, our main goal this season is to stay in Premierships and we are exactly still on the right track.
Until then, thanks for coming to this site and Howay the Lads!!!
