]]>For Gazza, he may be so grateful for all the support and helps he’s got through the dark days and recently he has an offer from someone who have been through about the same condition as Gazza has at the moment.
BBC has a report that Mike Tyson offered Gazza to provide counselling and support when he tours the UK in May. The former United player had to spend two weeks in a psychiatric hospital, and Tyson believes with his own past experience, he could help Gazza while holding a series of speaking engagements in the North, including a date in Gateshead.
“I know all about Gazza and I feel I can help him. A lot of top sportsmen have suffered in their private lives, including me, and that is why I want to help.” Tyson said as quoted from the BBC. “I still see him as a superstar and would like to meet him if he feels up for it.”
Mike Tyson has been a real help for the England striker and boxing fan, Wayne Rooney three years ago when he gives Rooney a boost to control his aggressive style of play.
Meanwhile, the England coach Fabio Cappello gave his words for the future of United skipper Michael Owen yesterday. Owen who has been shining bright for the Toon in recent games has a vote of confidence from Cappello, and telling him that he is still a key player in England’s qualification plans for the 2010 World Cup.
“My main priority is to qualify for the 2010 World Cup. I think about it all the time,” He said. “I have a group of players, Michael Owen included, that will take England forward,”
Another good news came today for United winger James Milner. Keegan will considering to add Milner on the bench for Sunday’s derby match, after his return to full training over the next couple of days.

]]>For many games, even before Barton’s off-the-field problems, United supporters are often asking about his quality to play for Newcastle. I was first believe he will be the one who is before (in football) and can reduce his bad behaviour under the former Newcastle manager guidance, but the hope is long gone now.
The Anfield show this weekend will be Keegan 150th Premier League game as the manager of Newcastle United. With United, King Kev has 50-50 chance to get good result out there with the old record set to 2 wins and 2 losts.
So that’s the stats from the past, but for today’s reality we were probably will not have any chance this weekend. Without Barton and Emre is still out injured, KK will have to force Alan Smith back to midfield and make a debut start for Oba Martins to play for Newcastle under Keegan.
The other possibility is to add Faye as defensive midfielder and bring in Cacapa to pair with Taylor in defence. Enrique, who is playing against Blackburn last week, on the left-back and push Zogbia up to left-wing while Duff is playing as second line striker.

]]>Last Saturday’s opening period saw the Magpies performing their best football of the season, with determination and the “Keegan’s” attacking style, United team has given some real test to the home side.
Newcastle has at least two great chances to convert the game into their advantage with Alan Smith strike was denied by Gael Clichy’s goal-line clearance and Steven Taylor headed inches over the crossbar.
“It was a very good first half performance and we had the courage to play them,” Keegan said, “We could not keep it up (on the second half) and they stepped up, we stepped back and in the end, the gulf was pretty big.”
King Kev said our biggest problem is confidence. We could not coming back after they scores the first goal and our passing in the second half was X-rated stuff, we were just giving the ball away.
“But if we can put 90 minutes in like we did in the first half, then Arsenal will have a tough game here – although you can still play well for 90 minutes against them and they can turn you over.” Keegan added more.

]]>“We have sent Michael to Germany to see Dr Wohlfahrt in a bid to speed up his recovery from his thigh injury,” Allardyce told the Evening Chronicle.
The rumour said, the German doctor could help Owen return to action within a fortnight, but Allardyce is sticking to the initial estimate of four to six weeks.
To fill the gap in United’s forward while Owen is missing, Allardyce put his hope to Obafemi Martins to come in Michael place. Big Sam is very pleased with Oba in recent weeks and looking for him to link up with Mark Viduka or Shola Ameobi.
Today we also have some good and bad news regarding to some of our players. The bad news is Steven Taylor is in doubt for Newcastle United’s home game against Liverpool after being forced off for England’s Under-21s with a back problem.
Taylor’s injury makes Sam Allardyce facing a potential central defensive crisis for Saturday’s game, with Abdoulaye Faye definitely out and Cacapa unlikely to be fit. Taylor is off in England Under-21s’s 1-1 draw away to Portugal last night.
Newcastle medical team will have Taylor’s injury assessed, and the hope is that a few days’ rest will see him fit to take on the Reds.
Now the good news is Damien Duff has has returned to full training with Newcastle United after almost seven months out with a serious foot injury. Sam Allardyce is pleased to see Duff is recovering well after suffering such a serious injury.
“It’s great to see Damien back in training,” Sam told the club’s official website. “He is just starting to join in with the players, and there will be a period of time when he gets used to training on a day-to-day basis.”
Meanwhile, on loan Tim Krul is set to make the talking with Sam Allardyce about any possibility for an extension of his loan deal with SPL side Falkirk.
Speaking after Holland Under-21’s 1-0 win in a friendly against Sparta Rotterdam, “I haven’t made up my mind yet. First-choice goalkeeper Shay Given has suffered injuries so I may get a taste of first-team action.” Krul added, “For the time being, I keep all options open.”
Former United’s reserve coach Lee Clark is saying that Krul would be back in January in order to give another United’s young goalkeeper Fraser Forster chances to go out on loan basis. But now, it is the new reserve boss Adam Sadler and Big Sam decisions will go about Krul situation.

]]>“Football’s a drug, and a powerful drug. From January I think something could happen.” Said Shepperd.
He told the media about the addictions of football. For him, football is like a drug and he wanted more and more of it. According to the Guardian, he is seeking the possibilities to take over a Northern club because of he is a native Northern lad.
Shepperd has been given several club names for him to buy and suggestion that any lower division clubs are very challenging ones. Well, I agree with that. Shepperd is fit enough to manage a lower division team rather than a club like Newcastle United.
