Once again, Owen Said “…I’m happy here”

After being fully supported by fellow toon mate Shola Ameobi, today the Englan striker Michael Owen has pledged his future with Newcastle United. He is dismissed all the media speculations about him signing for either Manchester City or going back to Anfield in January.

He insists that he will bring silverwares to Tyneside, whether this season or the next season. He wants to score as many goals as he can to prove himself committed to the Magpies.

“I believe action speaks louder than words, I’m still here and still loving my time here,” said Owen.

Bur he also denied had been offered a new contract by Newcastle. “A month hasn’t gone by without somebody saying I’m going here, there and everywhere.”

Owen feel sorry for the fans and understand fully that the Toon Army must be frustrating to read something about him going to this club and that club.

Owen still here and he is looking forward to Newcastle’s next game against Portsmouth and will continuing the season with Newcastle.

“I’ve said numerous times that I’m happy here, but speculation has followed me since I’ve been here. I say the right things and play in the right way by trying my best, so I don’t know where it comes from.” Said Owen.

Sam Allardyce mentioned earlier last week about the possibility to offered and extend contract to Michael Owen. He has 18 months left on his current contract, but Allardyce is keen to keep new contract on hold until the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Nicky Butt is set to be offered a new two-year contract by the official club. Butt has been magnificent for Newcastle in the last three games. Allardyce is keen to keep his services more longer, and thought to have him as the role model for United’s youngster.
