Newcastle United vs Michael Owen, the Real Fact

Newcastle United chairman Chris Mort is expressed his feeling about the media bust-up between the player and manager. The Flamboyant chairman is insists that there’s no such friction between the Toon Boss and Owen.

He told the Chronicle: “It is disappointing because the reality is that Newcastle United are delighted that England regard Michael so highly. It is quite right that they should because he is clearly a tremendous striker for his country as well as for Newcastle United.”

I agree with Mr. Mort, and more of that I think all the news about ’something’ happened between Newcastle and the FA authority is coming from jealous people to see the most prolific goal-scorers for England in the past ten years, is in fact was also playing for Newcastle United.

After the resignation of Alan Shearer, now Michael Owen is the one that was still in active role for both team. I can remember how bad it is for Shearer to deal with the press while he was still playing for Toon and St. George Cross.

Meanwhile, Mort was on hand to help former United boss Kenny Dalglish and ex-Toon star Paul Bracewell open up their Complete Football project at Gosforth Park yesterday, with the club’s Academy players training on the facility in front of Big Sam.

“I see a big part in the role of the club as working in the community, and the fact I was there yesterday, along with Sam and a lot of our coaching staff, is testament to that.”

Well, this is something that is hard to be seen while the Shepperd’s regime still powering the club benefits for they own good. This is probably another sign for the future, despite all the media reporting bad things about the club revolution. Well, when they do not do that anyway? 😉
