Michael Owen Strikes Back!!!

Are we going to pour salts on the wound? I don’t think it was nice thing to do. The same as how the press handle the situation of the current club versus national team saga, they are just taking advantage on somebody’s comment to other.

The press is writing like there were world war three going on between Newcastle United and the England Football Association about Michael Owen. One of the article that I read is quoted Michael Owen is in his aggressive mood. They said that EMO is angry for being accused as put the England team first before the club.

Owen insists that he is just follow what the doctor said about his pre-operation condition.”If I was only interested in playing for England, I would not have bust a gut to get myself fit and be available for Sunday.” Said Owen.

Owen’s surgeon, Munich-based Dr. Ulrike Muschaweck who performed Owen’s stomach operation quoted at skysports saying that Michael Owen risk of re-occurring the injury is 0.1 percent.

She said: “The main difference to other operation techniques for the groin area is that only the defect of the posterior wall of the groin canal is opened and no sound tissue is destroyed.”

Added more to that, he is also insisted had no problem with Sam Allardyce. Big Sam has claimed he did not believe Owen was fit enough to be in his starting line-up last weekend against Everton and expressed a doubt over the ability to play two top-level international games in the space of four days. Allardyce commented, everything is just the press trying to get something out between him, Owen and the FA.

So, I don’t think there is any issue about Owen relationships with his boss and or with his team-mate Joey Barton. In this case, Michael Owen was mature enough to handle what the papers says and he will take care of them the way he did couple months ago when the press are bussy speculating about his contract with Newcastle and will leave the club at the start of the season.

England manager also known Owen is just having double operations, and as former manager of Middlesbrough, Steve McClaren also aware of Sam Allardyce concerns for his player. He has the same feeling too on his time with the Boro while dealing with the International break.

Howay the Lads!
