Finally the Magpies can score from corner after 2 long years of waiting, but we also let them crawl one back from another corner situation where we supposed to burried them deeper in second half.

Loic Remy scores Newcastle's first goal of the game

At the start of the game, we were the brilliant side and took the lead in just 2 minutes of play with Remy converted the goal from Cabaye’s corner. You can just imagine how happy the fans were – both the ones cheering on at the stadium and the ones who supported the team online on sites like https://byindia.com/.

Since that quick goal, we keep the heavy pressure under the Canaries shoulders and push them to defend, although they also have a couple of situation where we’re a bit lack of concentration in the back, thanks to our extra defender in Shola to clear the ball out when Krul seems out of position to secure the bouncing ball for the page of codes.

In search for a third successive wins in a row this season, with the help of old Shola Ameobi who are once again proven as the better target man than Cisse, Newcastle doubled the lead in the first half through his neat flick-on ball to put Gouffran clears to tap the easy ball in.

With another half-chances going wasted through Sissoko and Remy, Newcastle hang on the lead until the end of first half.

In the second half, surprisingly we are sitting deeper, and let the visitors to come on to us. I don’t like it when we are playing on the counter attacking style against a team like Norwich City.

It’s just not seems right to defending a 2-0 lead at home by playing like that, I would prefer to see more attacking approach just like what we did in the first half.

That way, we give them four corners in a row that resulting one goal back for them, it’s just silly, then starting to attack them again really not a clever decision. The fans will demand more positive approach from the lads in our next home fixture against Brom, where we should have win that game too.

Newcastle United were forced to accept a hard-earned one point at Madejski stadium infront of around 2K travelling Toon Army, after being left behind twice.

Steven Taylor battle for the ball with Reading’s Pavel Pogrebnyak

In the start of the first 30 minutes of play, the away team was dominating in terms of ball possession. In fact we did created a half-chance in the 11th minute when the Royals defenders Kaspars Gorkss clearance felt on to Ba who was then raced it down the right flank.

Too bad, His cross miscued over the top, leaving Papiss Cisse with nothing to do at the far post. The Royals also have a half-chance situation, thanks to Steven Taylor who forced to head behind a dangerous delivery from McAnuff.

After that, we are simply just doing some defensive duties with the home side taking the advantage as their confidence growing in. On the half-hour mark, Steve Harper diverted Pogrebnyak’s heading over the top for a corner.

In the second period we are mostly the same side as we were in the first 45 minutes, with only Cisse’s work a yard of space inside the frist 10 minutes from the re-start but his shot was blocked by the Reading defence.

And then, the home side took the deserve lead in the 58th minute when Kebe received the ball in central position where we supposed to have Cabaye to deal with it before he shoot the ball into the far corner.

Demba Ba celebrates scoring Newcastle's equalising goal

The goal was forced us to make immediate response. It took only a minute when Tiote floated the ball over a packed of the home defence into Ba’s territory who accept it and firing a superb volley past a hopeless McCarthy.

I was hoping that after the quick payback, we will then back to dominate the game and to added more goals. But it was (again) the Royals who were hunger for goals.

And (again) McAnuff movement down to our left byline was be able to delivering a dangerous cross right into the Magpies defense. This time Noel Hunt sneaking in behind though and glanced a bouncing header into the far corner past Harper’s despairing dive.

Alan Pardew – who just signed a new magnificent 8 years contract deal – quickly make a change to introduced Shola and Shane Ferguson for Cisse and Gael Bigirimana.

We finally got the equaliser with seven minutes left on the clock. Just like what he did in our last Capital One League Cup match at Old Trafford couple days ago, Shane Ferguson pacey run of space on the left give him some space to quickly delivered a superb cross onto the head of Ba to bagged his second of the afternoon.

Unbelievable, a stunning start of the season for Newcastle after so many years of doom and gloom. Although we are not playing good last Saturday against the bottom of the table club, but we still manage to get an important three points at home.

Indonesian Toon Army celebrates the win against Wigan [MagpiesZone]

The Latics match was also the first live game that my son ever saw. He has been asking me to come with me couple of times before, but last night I finally took him out to watch the Toon game. Although it’s makes him to sleep way very late but he seems to really enjoy it and happy with the result.

Meanwhile at St. James’ Park, three of the Indonesian Toon Army members are finally can shown our flag inside the fortress, good one lads!

Back to the game, Alan Pardew insists to keep his winning team against the bottom table Latics, I couldn’t blame him but it would be good if we put couple of fresh legas from the start, to give a taste of experience for the more tough cahllenge next month against the three teams above us.

I can see a glimpse of tireness in some of our players, and noticed that many of our attack was come from our right side. Obertan has a torrid game also, and many has critized his final ball last night.

But, history tells that it’s always difficult to play against them home and away. From our last two meetings with them at St. James’ Park in 2008/2009 and 2010/2011 seasons, all ends with 2-2 draw.

Yesterday match was another quiet game for Leon Best, especially with surprisingly the visitors took control of the game in the start of 20 minutes of the first half. They marched with 5 goal attempts and 4 shoots on goal compared to none from us.

They make our strikers to come down too deep in our midfield to pick the ball, with Hugo Rodallega constantly to be their main threats in our defense. Rodallega had a first minute shot blocked by Fabricio Coloccini and followed by another rising shot couple minutes later which was superbly tipped away by Tim Krul.

In the second half, things are not getting better before Alan Pardew quickly decide to bringing in Sylvain Marveaux and Ben Arfa to replace Leon Best and Obertan. We are starting to gain more control of the game and in ball possession.

A special note for Ben 10 performance last night, he seems to have little fear to fight for the ball after returning from his long broken leg injury. Although I can still see his magic movement, Ben Arfa still a little less below his peak performance.

Within the last 20 minutes, Pardew finally introduced Shola Ameobi who scores against Spurs last week. His appearance change the game again, and the visitors start to tightened up their defense looking for their first away point.

The deadlock finally broken in the 81st minute, starting with Ryan Taylor’s cross who was controlled by Marveaux before he served the ball for Cabaye to curl an unstoppable shot into Al Habsi top corner. With this glorious performance, I believe that Cabaye will be among those stars in the Euro 2012.

While the visiting team has tasted the European soil before today’s meeting with Newcastle today, the result seems to show that we’re also should be there next season.

Without Ameobi who has a slight injury, AP recalled Leon Best to partnered with Peter Lovenkrands as United front men. Obertan filled the empty slot on the right wing where used to have Barton to fill in. And from my point of view, he’s done a very good job there and I believe soon he can exceed his successor.

In central midfield, Tiote is return after being off on last Thursday’s Carling Cup fixture. He’s joining force with Yohan Cabaye, who start to look like a fresh Kevin Nolan and he commanding the area quite well, particularly in the second half.

The first 10-20 minutes, it was the visitors who have the control and we are responded very well in defense, with skipper Colo and Taylor both stands tall against the impressive American center forward, Clint Dempsey.

They have couple of good chances through Sidwell and Kasami’s long range shooting, but we also creating some troubles to their defense near the end of first half with Best header and Taylor’s long kick.

Newcastle’s goal came in shortly after the break. Ryan Taylor put a throw in to Cabaye’s position with one Fulham player guard him, but still he can manage to escape and sent a thunderous ball that bounch past Fulham’s goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer into top cross bar before fall to Leon Best who are free to put it into the empty net.

Soon after the goal, we looks like to turn down the tempo a little bit, and the visitors have two good chances to make an equaliser through Sidwell and Murphy’s close range header that both are denied by Tim Krull.

Soon after that, with the introduction of Demba Ba to replaced a relatively quiet Peter Lovenkrands, Newcastle start to dominating again. It was another clever cross from Cabaye to Ba who then sent it to Fulham’s penalty area where Best was there waiting to make it 2-0 for Newcastle.

In the dead end of normal time, Fulham finally got one goal through Dempsey’s long header that beat Krul who was a little bit up too far from his post. In general, I was pleased with the lads performance today. Espeacially to see how Obertan, Cabaye and Ba are start to settle down with their new team.

We visit Stamford Bridge with everyone expecting us to get thrashed by the current Premierships leader, but we simply answer all those predictions with a good win.

The game itself starting as everyone wishes when Patrick Van Aanholt opened the scoring in six minutes on the clock but Nile Ranger, pay his terrible mistake who lead to Chelsea’s first goal, slide the ball home on 27 minutes.

Newcastle was far the better team after Ranger’s goal, and give some serious pressure on the Chelsea backline. Bruma foul on Shola Ameobi give us an opportunity to strike from an inviting angle at the edge of the area.

Toon set-piece expert Ryan Taylor, swing the ball into the far corner to put Newcastle ahead on 32 minutes. We almost make it 3-1 before half-time when Ameobi, who continuosly causing problems for Bruma, had a shot on goal, but Van Aanholt hook away off the line to save the London team.

We finally 3-1 up in just three minutes after the break and it was Shola Ameobi who gives the travelling Toon Army a reason to roar. Lovenkrands almost make it 4-1 and closed the contest if he not dragged his shot wide.

The London side has two goals from Nicolas Anelka including an 87th minute penalty to make them back level. But Jonas Gutierrez corner proven to be the match winning assist as the ball met by the head of Ameobi to notched his second and send Newcastle through.
