Mark Hughes lined up to replace Sam Allardyce at Newcastle?

Aye! The point to replace Sam with Mark Hughes was the ludicrous one, but I don’t think both Ashley or Mort will do that. If they want someone to replace Allardyce, that person should be either having the same quality as Cappello, Wenger, or Mourinho. I would love to try any of them as the new Toon manager, emmm…Lippi anyone?

Chris Mort also aware of Mike Ashley would not be so pleased with 4-1 drubbing by Portsmouth at St James’ Park. Not to mention the way United capitulated without even putting up with a fight.

They don’t look interested to chasing the game and in fact was looking confused and helpless without any clue of what to do next, I believe this is was the job of team manager realy is.

More frustrating thing is that we haven’t meet the Big Boys of the Premierships yet, with the start of his future test will be the stadium of sh*te. The fact is that Geordie’s #1 enemy Roy Keane was there at the St. James’ Park, and he probably thinking of the win for his side next Saturday.

On that last Saturday, Steve Harper who make his return to the Toon goal, look very depressed and cannot believe he was the one who have to had that experience.

“We had a constructive meeting and looked at what went wrong (last Saturday). We felt we had to analyse what happened in those eleven minutes.” Said Harper on the official site.

More of that Allardyce speaks again about that disastrous moment as getting back to basics, back to square one. It’s back to rolling our sleeves up and digging in.

“You’ve got to stick to the basics – and if you don’t do that, you’ll never be resilient, never look organised and never be a good side in possession, or a difficult side to break down out of possession. You can’t play football on ability alone.”

The question is what does he means by stick to basics? If that was something related to what Benjani’s said about a schoolboy defending, then the basic would be far away to reach the level of Premierships game. Basic defending, allowing opponent attackers to come into our own territory and destroy everything in eleven minutes at home was no basics at all.

Well, let’s hope both the manager and the players now have the clue and stick together to bring back our faith to them, this Saturday will be the one and only medicine for it, let’s wait and see.
