Have You Supported Toon Lately?

A friend of mine have asking me that question couple of days ago. I ask him back, why you ask? He smiles and then he is changing into the shape of Sam Allardyce. Weird?

I hope you don’t take it seriously, I was joking about that, but honest there’s questioning about do I have supporting Toon lately, or it is just me that has turn-out into an ordinary glory hunter. Many have said to me before, supporting ewcastle United is not an easy job to do, and so does every managers that we have for the last ten years.

Chris Mort have given his support for Big Sam, although many fans believe that his support is just because he doesn’t know anything about football, or managing a football club. Later I was thinking that was the opposite of what many have believe, in fact he knows about football and he knows that we can’t buy success.

And Sam Allardyce also hoping that everyone can end the revolving door at St James’ Park after seven bosses in just 10 years. He admits the pressure to deliver at underachieving Toon is higher than he expected. He said in the Mirror,

“My long term is only going to be long term if I get results. As good as Mike Ashley the owner and Chris Mort the chairman are, if I don’t get results there is going to be pressure put on them, never mind me, so results are the name of the game.”

Later he said that he does not have any quick-fix solutions. It will take three to five years to get things right for club, and to where most of Newcastle supporters want it to be.

“Over the last three to four years this club has not done much anyway. This club has not had success for 50 years, apart from brief periods under Kevin Keegan and Sir Bobby Robson.”

Big Sam knows very well, no matter how good he is in the past with Bolton, or what he think can achieves with Newcastle in the next three or five years, his immediate concern must be a win at Sunderland tomorrow.
