Do We Need More ex-Glory Hunter Player in January?

News today reveals that the new Chelsea coach Avram Grant is ready to dismiss Jose Mourinho top wanted player Tal Ben-Haim from his current Chelsea squad. The press who sniff it then automatically make a news about him going to signed for Newcastle United in January.

Sam Allardyce is also keen to bring his old player from Bolton last summer, but just to find out that the player he brought in to English Premier League is later turn him down by joining Chelsea. Big Sam said he is disppointed by his ex-player decision.

Now, after only months wearing the blues shirt with appearances that both hand fingers can count, he is being told that his club didn’t want his service anymore.

Without want to being racist, I was a bit surprise about Grant decision to sell his fellow country men.

The fact is this is football, and as the manager of a team with highly demanded supporters just like the Toon Army, Grant knows that he must be very selective when dealing with his resources. I think he has seen the real Ben Haim and he feels that although they are coming from the same country, football is still the most important thing.

How about Newcastle United? I personally didn’t want to see Ben Haim to join the Toon at any price. Are we haven’t got enough being Chelsea’s recycle bin? For as far as I can remember, none of ex-Chelsea squad we accommodate can do much improvement for our team. Tell me if I’m wrong!

Celestine Babayaro
Signed for Newcastle United in 2005. Speaking about Babayaro, the only good things from him is when on February 10, 2007, after the 2-1 win over Liverpool F.C., former Newcastle United manager Glenn Roeder revealed that just 12 hours before kick off, Babayaro had called Roeder saying his younger brother, David Babayaro, had died from tuberculosis. Despite this, Babayaro insisted he would still play and put in a solid performance which earned him praise from Newcastle fans and particularly by Roeder. This fine form continued into United’s 4-2 victory against Zulte Waregem.

Scott Parker
He is probably the one that we haven’t seen his real talent, he was get injured too often so that makes him being off-loaded from Stamford Bridge. He is later been sold again from Newcastle to West Hame United.

Damien Duff
Same thing as Parker. he is maybe the better player we have signed from the London club, but again, he is gets injured too many. His last injury hit makes him sidelined for more than 6 months now since April 2007. Big Sam still put hopes for Duff, and time will tell if he finally can ‘come out of the dark’.

Geremi Njitap
The latest ex-Chelsea we sign in under Sam Allardyce. He’s been good on Newcastle’s pre-season games but recently he is a little bit slowing down, he may need more rests and used as rotation player. Big Sam is making mistake to choose him as the new skipper for Newcastle United.

Tall Ben Haim?
THANKS…BUT NO!
