Alan Pardew should thanks Toon youngsters for his new contract deal

Alan Pardew might be a helluva luckiest manager in the world today as he’s now have been offering a new extended contract deal by Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley, for another 8 years.

Despite his Newcastle United side being kicked out of this year Capital One League Cup competition, the Newcastle owner must have seen something different from the result so he thinks that AP should been awarded with a new contract.

Pardew’s backroom staff including assistant John Carver, first-team coach Steve Stone and goalkeeping coach Andy Woodman are also seen their deals extended with the same length while back in June 2012, Chief Scout Graham Carr, was also rewarded with an eight-year contract.

From the official site, the club Managing Director Derek Llambias explains the main reason behind the new contract deals “If you look at clubs like Manchester United and Arsenal, Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger have shown that stability gives you the best platform to achieve success, and that is the model we wish to emulate here.”

“We’re looking to build on the success we had last season and these new contracts are aimed at keeping the Club progressing on and off the pitch, as we have done since returning to the Premier League in 2010.”

Derek also hope that with this new announcement, the fans will see it as the mark of a stability inside the club and to achieve consistent success in the Premier League as well as the European club competition.

In my honest opinion, although the length of new contract was a bit out of this world and for some Toon fans was really beyond their wildest imagination, I see it as the highest appreciation from the club to a person who has done quite fantastic jobs during his short period as Toon manager.

Not knowing or being speculative, Mike Ashley was the only one who knew what he’s doing. As the fans, we should give the same appreciation to Alan Pardew and congratulates him and his backroom staff, the stability is what we need for this club in whatever or how we can achieve and keep it.
