Newcastle are reported being interested to bring unhappy Diarra up to the NorthEast from his current team Arsenal. The Gunners signed him from Chelsea in the last hours of last summer transfer window.

After signed for Arsenal, Diarra found himself only being employed 13 times this season including two meetings between Arsenal and Newcastle on the 2-0 League Cup win and 1-1 draw in Premier League.

Sam Allardyce is keep looking for a player who can be the new Toon general in midfield. Knowing the lack of creativity there so far, Big Sam is desperate to strengthen Toon midfield and also being linked for a move to his former Bolton squad skipper Kevin Nolan.

Diarra is also being tracked by Tottenham and Portsmouth, but SkySports confirmed that we are currently ahead to bring him to St. James’ Park. The Arsenal man admits last month he is puzzled by his current playing situation in Arsenal squad.

Diarra said, he is favoured to play in central midfield position, but Arsene Wenger’s side are packed with talented midfielders that makes him playing in his secondary position of right-back.

If Newcastle can get him signed for Toon, Sam Allardyce may possibly sold Emre. Currently Emre has been linked with a switch to Monaco according to the French press speculation.

The French outfit are reportedly also keen to signed Manchester City’s Gelson Fernandes, but later they see Emre as a more realistic option.
