Another Toon Relegation Musing Post

March 13th, 2008 by heednhands

If we go down, we go down. What will it mean? If we stay up NUFC have a monumental building job to do; a job requiring money brains and time. If we go down NUFC have a monumental building job to do; a job requiring money brains and time.

Humiliation resulting from relegation is a fear for some, I laugh in the face of humiliation. I remember Hereford, I still feel the pain of 74 oooohhh; 76-78. The wilderness years – the bad old days before 82-89. Oh shit man! take ya pick of the premier league years, 12 points, the Charity Shield, Lisbon & Cardiff, Alkmaar, Birmingham 5, on and on it goes. Every year there is a horrible kick in goolies.

I don’t think the slow dim-witted flabby old beast that is NUFC put on a reality check starvation diet of the lower league will be all that bad. A number of poisons will be lanced and boy do they need lancing! Without this purification I fear the same old same old spiral just going on forever and a day. I do not fear for NUFC in that lower league one tiny wee bit.

Matchdays are shite. The crowd are old and bitter and beyond spontaneity or wit. We sit in the same seats surrounded by the same defeated bastards and we moan and whinge and it’s dull, boring and apathy inducing. Apathy is the most horrible word there is to describe a mob watching NUFC.

We need the younger generation desperately, the younger generation who can not afford stupid-as-feck prices. I think clearing out a MASSIVE percentage of old farts is very very necessary. Our new bloody horrible lop sided ground without any acoustic charm has never really took off – well maybe once or twice but not often. Relegation will open up seats for people to sit together and they’ll create something fresh and joyous I’m sure.

If Cashley is just a chancer then he’ll off ski. So! NUFC is for life it is not only a hobby for a rich man. (I hate Fatso for saying NUFC was merely a hobby – the sh*tbas*ard sh*theed!) If he is committed then I repeat – the job requires money, brains and time. What good is money without brains and time. Cashley will have two choices, roll up his sleeves and work at NUFC or engineer a parting. Relegation will clear up this current tip-toeing half-arsed uncertainty.

As for our premier league players – hahaha! Honestly I take a sadist’s delight in seeing them having to endure this torture. These cartoon arseholes that have to work for a living is kind of fascinating. These men divorced by miles from what you and I have to do.

Emre and Viduka I respect, they have just thought fuck this for a game of soilders, but Taylor and Butt and Given and Duff and Owen and many many others. Fecking great! Professional footballers are wankers and seeing wankers in a childlike bewilderment is most amusing. Get rid!

Younger vibrant crowd, Honesty and commitment from our owner or not, and a new team – comprising of players with fire!

Relegation does not frighten me.

Red is a testosterone-driven signal of male quality?

March 12th, 2008 by shearyadi

Bollocks! I’m not surprised if the one who write the article or doing the research is the fan of any of those club wearing red shirt. Charlton or Barnsley perhaps?

Ok, the original article is here and if you are one of those red supporters, I congratulate you! But, the fact is this research may only valid to the English Premier clubs and also not all of those who wear the red shirts are more successful than any other team who is not.

My personal opinion, one sided and from a fan of the team who’s wearing the black and white stripes, that article is very biased and ridiculous, it’s just so stupid to publish such one side opinion and unreasonable perception.

I’m More Than Tired Of All the Negative Reports

February 16th, 2008 by shearyadi

Yes we are in the run of bad results, you’re right to say that we were relegation candidate, I’d love it when you think we will going down as the genuine Toon Army will be the last one to laugh on summer.

As a Newcastle fan, I’m tired to read all the negative thoughts and reports about how bad my team is. It is not helping us at all, we all know for sure that we have the worst time in our Premierships history. But, that will make us more UNITED, because we’re the most UNITED TEAM in the land, accept that!

Sir Bobby Robson have good opinion on Special K second return, and I’m sure that he will also not agree to what so called the “England legend” Jimmy Greaves negative thoughts about Keegan. Greaves branded Kevin Keegan’s return to management as ‘disaster’ and said that Keegan is living in the past.

I then have a good laugh at his opinion about Sam Allardyce’s cutting edge football. Howay Jimmy, why on earth you said some boring football from Allardyce has to be branded as a cutting edge.

Okay, you said that Newcastle didn’t give enough time for him, true, and I also thought the same way. But, after what he has said about being bigger than Newcastle United, I have lost all the respect that I have for him.

“All I want now is for Kevin to be successful again at Newcastle because the club desperately need a lift.” Sir Bobby said more, “I will continue to support them from the stands because it is my club. Always has been, and always will.”

Keegan also admit today on the official site that he will first ensure Newcastle United’s Premier League safety before casting his eye to the summer and a list of potential transfer targets, and start his real job to shape the real Newcastle United team.

“First we have to get the players to ensure our safety, because we’re not safe yet. We need a win. That’s all we lack at the moment,” he told Newcastle World TV “The confidence will come flowing back and the football will get better and the players will start to trust each other that little bit more.”

Newcastle Will Thinking Outside The Box

December 25th, 2007 by shearyadi

Newcastle United away form on Boxing Day were always inside the box and already suffering seven defeats and three draws. Tomorrow we will have Wigan and their new boss, Steve “the Geordie” Bruce.

Without being negative, we are also have poor away records at JJB Stadium. Since October 15, 2005 United never have any win there in all league. Have lost with one goal margin in two Premierships games and one League Cup.

Big Sam and United players will be supported by 5,000 fans at their backs inside the JJB Stadium for yet another sold out Toon Army away allocation, according to the official site. Sam Allardyce and the lads will be hoping to end that miserable sequence when they take to the field against Steve Bruce’s Latics.

Wigan will have their defender Mario Melchiot available again after serving one Premier League suspension. Emile Heskey could return following an ankle injury but Jason Koumas remains a major doubt with the groin problem.

“Two weeks ago we didn’t have a hope of getting out of the bottom three and now we are in striking distance of that.” Said Steve Bruce, “When you take over a club and they haven’t won in 13 games, you’ve got to try and restore the pride and a little bit of belief.”

Meanwhile, Michael Owen is reported already training with the rests of United squad and could make an appearance at JJB Stadium. But Sam Allardyce has revealed the Magpies’ £17million record signing perhaps initially only as a substitute.

Big Sam is also will have Abdoulaye Faye available and Stephen “Oh No” Carr fit again from hamstring injur, while Damien Duff could make his start after showing great on his return against Derby last Sunday. Allardyce said Damien Duff is a quality and a very important player to have him back on United squad.

“It’s been a long road back for him and at some point he would have been a little bit worried about how serious the injury was.” Said Allardyce, “But he has dedicated himself for a number or months now to recuperate and recover.”

And for tomorrow fixture, He knows the game at Wigan will be a tough one and will try to set the record right against them inside their own land. With Wigan fighting for their lives to get their position out from the bottom they have picked up some confidence. But this is the one we can call it a winnable game.

Experience, Loyalty, Fighting Spirit, What Else Do We Need

December 24th, 2007 by shearyadi

Obafemi Martins maybe the latest headlines on this blog recently and was being in focus by my fellow contributors Clarky and GJ, but I’d like to make my review about wor Australian lad Big Vid.

Couple of days ago, I didn’t take any noticed nor being interested to look for the news about him and the socceroos coach Pim Verbeek. But today I was being attracted by a news headline from goal.com and read more about it. It was an interesting and well written, free from any biased and proportional.

Although some Toon Army said he was not so impressive and a bit lazy to jump and try to win the header when playing against the Rams, I understand that he might not in full fitness and just want to avoid any unnecessary injury on his comeback day.
