It will be great to come back so soon - Solano -

September 4th, 2007 by shearyadi

….in tonights Ronnie:

Special Geordie“I only have one regret about my time at Newcastle United, and that is I did not help give the fans the trophy they deserve. I have to say the Newcastle supporters were great to me, and I can honestly say I always tried my very best for them.”

“The only reason I wanted to leave was because of my family, and they all seemed to understand this. I know I am a professional footballer, but my family is very important to me. While my daughter Luana was born in Birmingham during my time at Aston Villa, my son Madias was born and bred in Newcastle and he is a real Geordie boy. They are in London and that is the only reason I wanted to go down there.”

“Yet on Friday morning I had changed my mind, and I was convinced I would be staying – and I was happy with that. Looking at the great squad Newcastle have, I accepted I would not play that many matches this season. So for that reason and for my family, I thought it was best to go when West Ham came back in for me.”

“While we did not win a trophy, I am going with a lot of great memories. The best came in the Champions League with Sir Bobby Robson. From a personal point of view, I did not score a better goal than the one against 1860 Munich in the Olympic Stadium in the InterToto Cup in 2001. The goal which gave me the greatest pleasure, though, was probably the winner at Elland Road over Christmas that same year, when Kieron Dyer and myself created havoc against Leeds United.”

When asking about the upcoming fixture with WHU at SJP, Nobby said “It will be great to come back so soon because everything happened so fast on Friday I did not have much time to say many goodbyes.”

“You never know, I might be back permanently one day as manager of Newcastle United. Or as a coach if Alan Shearer is looking for one in years to come!”

August 31st, 2007 by shearyadi

NOBBY Solano has bid farewell to Newcastle United’s Toon Army for the second time after completing a deadline day move to West Ham United.

The popular Peruvian who has reach an adopted-Geordie level from Toon Army, has joined the Hammers for an undisclosed fee having earlier in the summer stated his desire to be closer to his family in London. Solano completed 315 appearances with 48 goals for the black and whites during two spells on Tyneside, after making his final appearance against Barnsley in Carling Cup 2nd round match.

Sam Allardyce Still In Love With Nobby

August 16th, 2007 by shearyadi

Nolberto SolanoAfter successfully in releasing Kieron Dyer to West Ham, now Allardyce will try to hold on our Peruvian legend Nolberto Solano.

Allardyce says that he would be sad to see Nobby Solano leave Newcastle United but concedes that could happen with the little Peruvian wishing to be closer to his family. I believe most of us will also sad to see him go. He is one of the very rare foreign player, especially from outside Europe who is successfully become an adopted Geordie.

There’s no current offer for his services, but a rumour has been told about an interest came from Pompey. With Solano keen to be closer to his children in the South, Allardyce admits that the midfielder could be heading for pastures new.

Post your comments here and tell the world that you will also feel sad to see him go, we still need his skill and imho, he is not just a great player, but he is already a legend here at Newcastle United.
