Michael Owen is once again flying to Germany to meet Dr Wohlfahrt for his latest injury set-back. He needs to make another speed up recovery to help Newcastle United dealing with the next busy fixtures.

“We have sent Michael to Germany to see Dr Wohlfahrt in a bid to speed up his recovery from his thigh injury,” Allardyce told the Evening Chronicle.

The rumour said, the German doctor could help Owen return to action within a fortnight, but Allardyce is sticking to the initial estimate of four to six weeks.

“Of course I know all about the quality of the goalkeepers at this club and it’s great to work with top players.” Barron told the official site, “It’s not just Shay and Steve, but Fraser Forster and Tim Krul are also very promising young goalkeepers.”

Barron has pulled on his gloves for the first time yesterday morning. He is previously play with Plymouth Argyle, Arsenal, Crystal Palace, West Brom, Stoke City, QPR and Reading before starting his coaching role Coventry, QPR and West Brom. Meanwhile, Obafemi Martins will restore his place to his starting line-up for Liverpool’s Barclays Premier League visit to St James’ Park on Saturday.
