Newcastle starts the game encouraging with Butt and Milner setting the tone in midfield with a couple of crunching tackles. But we suffer an early goal when N’Zogbia can only clear the ball as far Eboue from an Arsenal movement on the right-wing.

Sam Allardyce is finally get Steven Taylor back tonight for tonight fixture. But United will miss both Abdoulaye Faye (calf) and Stephen ‘Not Really Care Much About Him’ Carr (hamstring).

Meanwhile, Brazilian centre-back Claudio Cacapa is still not in match fit condition so he’s not featured today. His fellow defenders Peter Ramage (knee) and Celestine Babayaro (hamstring) remain long-term absentees.

Two seasons ago in 2005-2006 where Newcastle United is still under the reign of Graeme Souness, we are went in a game with Arsenal having lost 3-0 at Chelsea, 1-0 at Everton and had been beaten 1-0 by Wigan “reserves” before picking up a 1-1 draw with Aston Villa at St James’s Park.
