You know what, this is a complete happy week for me, first yesterday was my ‘Officially’ birthday, then Newcastle got wonderful deservedly wins today and then the title from the official site said, well done ‘Eddie’ and it was sounds similar to my first name!

The title was actually given to our 20 year-old stand-in center back, David Edgar. He was playing today in the absence of Steven Taylor and he shows some good performance in the clean-sheet victory over Reading that has made Keegan praise him highly.

Keegan said when Tayls came in with a virus this morning, he founds there were no problems putting David Edgar in, and the reserves skipper payback Keegan’s trust in him with a performance that KK describe as Franz Beckenbauer in his prime wouldn’t have won.

“He’s been terrific since I’ve been here. He’s captained the Reserves, and I felt he deserved his chance.”

Congratulations Edgar, you are the future of the Toon, as he even won a heaped praise from the Royal boss Steve Coppel for his performance today.

“This is another building-brick for Newcastle, and Kevin must be pleased with the performance of his team - and the young lad (David Edgar) at the back. Credit to them for getting a clean sheet today.”

And for more reading pleasure, Keegan still wants his player to even more focus for our next trip to Fratton Park against Pompey next week. It could be another crucial game especially when we’re looking at how they’ve been humiliated us in our own home ground.

I know we are just having two wins since he made the shocking return to English football league, and most of the media and those who commited themself as the football expert have been said he made a big mistake and he will failed again because the game is now totally different than his previous years with Newcastle. I’m telling you, they are totally wrong about King Kev.

Interesting how the media can make such a different opinions after we start to win things around and also, although some of their previous report are maybe 75% are telling the truth about United situation, but I still thought that it was really unfair to make such an early judgement that he could fail and soon to get sacked again.

How do you feel about Newcastle United latest result?
It’s good to win. You win when you score more than the opposition. We’ve been going wrong on that bit for a while!

Which player do you think you will keep at Newxastle United and why?
Peter Beardsley. He’s done nothing wrong.

Do you feel any regret of taking the Newcastle job once again after being retired from coaching?
No regrets at all. Anyway, some would say you retire from coaching when you work with the majesty that is Alan Smith.

What is your personal opinion about the current english premier league, the style of play and how do you handle the change?
We’ve only just won, so it’s fair to say the change hasn’t been easy. The lads now know to go out and do the opposite of losing, it’s that easy.

Do you think you will have the same success like your first reign if you have the chance to start it all over and pick your own team next season?
If we keep Barton, all will be fine. Hang on, forget that bit! With a team of new players, we have a good chance.

The last manager said that he needs at least five years to develop Newcastle to become the major force and one of the top four elites in premiership, how long do you think you can achieve that status?
Five years to develop a force and five months to get relegated. That was his plan, wasn’t it? Hahaha! Only joking. They say a week is a long time in football, so, I’d say with his (current) players it may take a long time…

Last one Mr. Keegan, in what part do you think Newcastle needs more improvement and any player on your mind that would fit on your plans?
I like the look of Shearyadi, he reminds me of a player we used to have, Alan Shearer!!
