Perhaps unsurprisingly after Wednesday’s exertions, we were rather sluggish and leggy 1st half. We lacked any presence in their PA and several good crosses found no one in the PA and attacking the ball.

A hard won point against a very well organised team. I couldn’t fault the effort, but the plain facts are that without Ben Arfa and Barton we lack creative quality in midfield.

Probably not the result that we wanted but all in all I’m quite pleased with the Lads performance today. We did keep the game very much alive and shows that this is not the same team that was relegated two years ago.
