Newcastle v Aston Villa Match Preview

August 17th, 2007 by shearyadi

club logoWe are heading in our second game of this season in game week#3 against Aston Villa tomorrow. Aston Villa is trying to re-group after a crushing 2-1 home loss to Liverpool last Sunday, while we have more confident with the win against Bolton in our first game last week.

Our track records against them was great. We have play against them for 28 times, with 15 wins, 8 draws and 5 losts.

Our biggest win, 5-1 at home in 1993-1994 season with Paul Bracewell, Peter Beardsley (2), Andy Cole and Scott Sellars are in scoresheets. Biggest losts was 0-3 in 2004-2005 season where we have the in-famous fight between Dyer and Bowyer.

The only season where we can’t get a single point was also in 2004-2005 season, where they made a double against us. We also have one season where both away and home games ended square, in 2003-2004 season with 1-1 at home and 0-0 away.

Predictions and comments are welcome!

Sam Allardyce Still In Love With Nobby

August 16th, 2007 by shearyadi

Nolberto SolanoAfter successfully in releasing Kieron Dyer to West Ham, now Allardyce will try to hold on our Peruvian legend Nolberto Solano.

Allardyce says that he would be sad to see Nobby Solano leave Newcastle United but concedes that could happen with the little Peruvian wishing to be closer to his family. I believe most of us will also sad to see him go. He is one of the very rare foreign player, especially from outside Europe who is successfully become an adopted Geordie.

There’s no current offer for his services, but a rumour has been told about an interest came from Pompey. With Solano keen to be closer to his children in the South, Allardyce admits that the midfielder could be heading for pastures new.

Post your comments here and tell the world that you will also feel sad to see him go, we still need his skill and imho, he is not just a great player, but he is already a legend here at Newcastle United.

Some media yesterday have the news about the Hammers will make a second movement to lure Dyer out from Toon. The new accepted offer for Dyer is to be believe around £7m. The move will re-united Dyer with Scott Parker.

Kieron DyerDyer, for many Toon Army, have done a little for the club since his transfer from Ipswich Town in a “Not so” Sexy Football era. At the first sight, he looks very promising, and for me his goal against Everton was a magnificent one. He drives the ball from midfield and after dribbling pass several defenders, he lashes a great strike into the goalkeeper’s net.

Since that, after having too many injuries, Dyer become an ordinary football player, except for his pace, his behaviour was not so brilliant, in and off the field. The incident that involving him and another “trouble maker” Lee Bowyer was totally un-acceptable and very un-professional one. Not to mention his “Disciplinary Problems”
