On the Day When Our Defence Getting Worst

Sam Allardyce and his Newcastle squad are having a very short New Year celebration when the Manchester City team have put the pressure back in yesterday.

Although we have playing in traditional 4-4-2 formation with the two Geordies favorite (so far) making the appearance, we were failed to put the best out of our team against the Manchester ‘never win away before yesterday’ City team.

But once again, the familiar United’s defensive frailties bring the negative side from team performance last night. And if there’s something that Allardyce is 100% right is when Elano revealed a surprising two-feets tackle which is clattering into Faye.

Big Sam react angrily and claim that Elano should have been red carded instead Martin Atkinson just brandished a yellow card.

For the second time in a row, United have been a victim of poor official decisions. Last weekend we have suffered an offside goal from Kalou and last night Elano was safe from being sent-off. Life is getting harder and harder for Big Sam and the Newcastle fans are cursed their luck and our defence.

“The pressure mounts despite that support. It mounts on us all. But it mounts on me in particular, because we’ve lost another game at St James’s Park.” Big Sam said, “The pressure grows because a team like us shouldn’t be losing at home – a team like us shouldn’t be losing three games on the trot. I’m not daft enough not to realise that I’m in the results business and I need to win some games.”

And now, after the third successive league defeat, Big Sam turned his attention on Stoke next sunday’s FA Cup third round. He relieves the pressure of the Premier League will not affect any cause to United’s FA Cup challenge simply because it’s not the same competition.

“It’s a straight knock-out so you’ve got one chance and we want to make sure we take it an don’t miss the opportunity.” Sam said. “Getting into the next round will be a confidence-booster and we can then turn our Premier League performances into results.”

We will see about that, and if our defence are still the same as we’ve seen yesterday the Potters will fancy it and they will be there for the taking. I don’t know what else to say if we are lose the FA Cup game too, and although I’m fancy him to continue until May, I didn’t blame the board if Sam Allardyce is finally clear his desk at St. James’ Park.
