Now It’s Time for More Wins Away

Sam Allardyce has ring the bell for his Toon squad to start the inning sequence while playing outside St. James’ fortress. This Saturday match at Madejski Stadium is their first game to aim the second victory away from home.

Newcastle recently only booked one away win performance at the opening match of the season against Bolton Wanderers. Since then, Big Sam squad only have draws against Middlesbrough, and defeats while playing Derby County and Manchester City.

More on his way to push the win away, Sam Allardyce warned his players to play the best they could, or they will loose the first team starter and even not sit on the bench. England U21 hero, Steven Taylor has suffered the hard way as Big Sam put the blame on his poor performance against Manchester City.

Taylor now loosing his place on Newcastle first team squad, and yet have to solve his new contract problem with United. He is failed to even sit on the bench on last Monday night win over Tottenham Hotspurs.

“Players must realise one poor performance can cost them their place,” he said.

“When I have a full squad available, the decision-making process becomes difficult. It’s frustrating and disappointing for the player in question, but that’s the nature of the game these days and they have to accept it.”

Sam Allardyce has given a good sample of what he want for all the players to follow.

“The perfect example for Steven is Claudio Cacapa. He’s not as quick as Steven, not as young but his brain gets him in to positions before the forwards. He makes it look simple. That’s one of the big things to learn as a defender – reading the game.”

And, speaking about reading the game, it’s more likely the news boys will once again rules the defensive side when Newcastle visit Reading’s homeland. Habib Beye, Abdoulaye Faye, Claudio Cacapa and Jose Enrique are likely to start for the game.

Big Sam reckons he now has the strength in depth to axe stars – even if their performances dip for just one game. In my honest opinion, the way Sam Allardyce trained his player would have given us good results, as they will trained more harder and do all the best.
