Newcastle United Future Is…

The timing of this suggests to me that this is the result of a big bust-up over transfers, resulting in Sam saying “back me or sack me!” If that was the case, I can’t say I would blame the blerk.

My son reckons Sky are suggesting that Sam knew nothing about it until it happened, which suggests something entirely different. If this was indeed pre-planned, and Sam knew sod all about it until presented with a fait accomply, then they must have someone lined up.

It would be sheer lunacy to elect to fire BSA at this point in the season without having someone else lined up. Time will tell.

As always, soon after the announcement, many speculations come in as who will be the United 7th managers in 10 years. Beside the Geordie lad Alan Shearer, who is actually many of the Toon Army would not suggested, Jose Mourinho is the most favourable. Lippi and soon to fired FC Bayern coach Ottmar Hitzfeld.

Especially for the last one, if he also being axed by Munich president Franz Beckenbauer, then there’s no chance to have Jose as United new boss. He is also being targeted as Hitzfeld replacement at Munich.

According to SkySports, the United officials have told them that Shearer not approached about the job, the Club know who they want and will go through the proper channels and the last one is they’re not looking at a foreign coach.

The top 5 odds so far about who is the next United manager according to Ladbrokes put Shearer infront, followed by Martin Jol, Marcello Lippi, Ottmar Hitzfeld and Jose Mourinho. While, Redknapp is current favourite on Betfair, followed by Alan Shearer, Mark Hughes, Martin Jol, Jose Mourinho, Gerrard Houllier, Juergen Klinsmann, Steve Maclaren and Louis Van Gaal.

God…I’m having a very bad headache!
