Newcastle United vs Aston Villa match verdict from the terraces

The classic game of two halves. The 1st half was fairly even, with Villa perhaps having the better chances. The Toon seemed rather tentative and nervy, and everything seemed just a little bit off – our passing tacling, marking, anticipation and support for the man in possession.

First win for Toon under JFK, with Barton got a good reception

Well, we all acknowledged this was a ‘must-win’ game, a proverbial ‘six-pointer’ (in October fcs), and we secured the points. That’s the positive stuff. Other than that I thought we were generally shambolic, and the 2nd half in particular was sheer agony to watch.

NVA Management put a bid on the table to buy Newcastle United

It was reported today that a group of Nigerian entrepenuers have put their bid through NVA management on their attempt to buy Newcastle United from current owner, Mike Ashley.
