Does He Really Care About Newcastle United?

imageThis is not about Sam Allardyce, I’m talking about the England’s Michael Owen. He is now still working on to get the full recovery from his latest injury while playing for an “important” match for England under Steve mcClaren against Austria, just five days before the “less important” and “easy to win” Croatian match.

At least they have flying to Austria and play against one of the Euro 2008 hosts, so they can take it as part of their participation on the next summer European Football festival.

About Michael Owen, I have trying to look for any news about his reaction for our last weekend loss against Liverpool, strange it is, I can’t find any. But, he (Owen) have a bullshit about making a comment against the Croatian team. His statement is totally out of context.

Newcastle United Player Mentioned in Horse Betting Trial

Times Online reveals today of a remarkable twist in the trial involving former champion jockey Kieren Fallon in London yesterday. Fallon told police that Michael Owen, the Newcastle United and England striker, contacted him every day for information on his rides.

Sherkle subsequently passed the information on to Miles Rodgers, who allegedly backed or laid horses through Betfair on the basis of Fallon’s texts.

Michael Owen, was reported to have lost around £20,000 and £30,000 in between the year of 2003 and 2005. Owen emphasised that racing was his other passion outside football.

Three months ago Owen unveiled his Manor House racing stables, which embraces 130 acres in Cheshire. Nicky Vaughan is the resident trainer at a site Owen plans to develop into a 100-box facility.

Michael Owen was not the first player who have passion in betting and gambling. Keith Gillespie was the other Newcastle player who also addicted to gamble.

Newcastle and England striker Michael Owen will try to get three points today against Portsmouth to celebrate his third child Emily, who was born on Wednesday, in Chester. The win would be a nice birthday present for his daughter, and even more special if three goals come from his feet.

Michael Owen has scored three goals so far for Newcastle, and the last game when he scores was on 3-2 win against Everton when he play as substitution after having a double hernia surgery.

Owen said: “Winning your home games is very important. If you win all your home games, you’re virtually in the UEFA Cup before you even start talking about away points.”

After being fully supported by fellow toon mate Shola Ameobi, today the Englan striker Michael Owen has pledged his future with Newcastle United. He is dismissed all the media speculations about him signing for either Manchester City or going back to Anfield in January.

He insists that he will bring silverwares to Tyneside, whether this season or the next season. He wants to score as many goals as he can to prove himself committed to the Magpies.
