The Blues first-half scorer, Jerome burns by Taylor and cuts back looking for the arriving of McSheffrey. Rozehnal read the situation this time and slides to concede a corner. Larsson takes but Given is able to claim at his near post.

Rainy Gallowgate at the start of the first half causing a little problem for the players to get good passing movement over the wet surface. But the Lads start the game attacking the visitor’s end.

Newcastle starts the second half with an early chance from a throw in by Geremi who found Barton lurking into the Arsenal defence with a help of a flick from Alan Smith.

Given has a work for the ball in 48 minutes when a neat one-two pass from Arsenal saw Rosicky pass the ball to Eboue who lash it into Given’s hand. United keep the possession and pushing forward again in search for an equaliser.…

Newcastle starts the game encouraging with Butt and Milner setting the tone in midfield with a couple of crunching tackles. But we suffer an early goal when N’Zogbia can only clear the ball as far Eboue from an Arsenal movement on the right-wing.

The Ivory Coast Eboue controls it before lifting a ball into the area looking for Emmanuel Adebayor, who has peeled away from David Rozehnal and controls on his chest before lashing right-footed…

Blackburn (3) vs Newcastle (1) – Second Half Action

No changes for both side as the second-half starts with Newcastle takes the attack. It took two minutes into the second-half when Emerton fouls Milner on the left. It was Geremi delievering the ball into the area. Obafemi Martins takes it with the glance and the ball is into the back of the net, for his six goals of the season.
