Wise men ever said once that something which is started bad can be end-up bad. Maybe they have telling you the truth and in this case, I’m talking about Charles N’Zogbia and his future with Newcastle United.

For most of the last recent weeks, there were plenty of new speculations about whether he will stay in Keegan’s revolutionary program or he will be seeing the exit door in the summer this year. Charles still have three years left on his current contract with United and KK determined that if he does leave, there will be a good amount of money that can brought him out.

N’Zogbia signed with Newcastle from his previous club Le Havre where he starts his footballing career from their acasemy. His transfer history was not a smooth one. After a protracted saga involving the threat of a case at the Court of Arbitration for Sport, his transfer officially went through on September 2, 2004.

United have paid a compensation fee to Le Havre which was thought to be in the region of £250,000. His transfer to Newcastle was the last player to be signed by Sir Bobby Robson. Robson later said of him: “N’Zogbia could go to the very top with the right coaching and motivation, and I hope it is with Newcastle. I signed him as a teenager and he was one of the most naturally gifted players of that age I’d ever seen.”

Later we have seen that Sir Bobby was right about his judgement and Charles quickly become great player after making his break to the first team squad. Although his natural position is a left-winger, under the previous manager he was playing often as left-back which he did it quite good.

As a young player, Zoggy was not entirely have a ‘good’ attitude. He has his first transfer request turned down in January, and long before that the United caretaker manager Nigel Pearson has dropped him from the substitutes’ bench against Watford last season. Nigel said that N’Zogbia was more engrossed in his mobile phone than the team meeting he was in.

Recently, his Newcastle United team-mates has warn him to buck up his ideas or leave the club. Meanwhile, Kevin Keegan said He would like to keep him with Newcastle because he can be a tremendous asset for us. But to do so, he’s got to be fully, fully, fully committed to Newcastle United.

And if he keep insisted to leave the club, Keegan has nothing to do but prepared to let the French Under-21 international go at the end of the season. Other premiership teams are lurking to catch him out from St. James’s Park with Arsenal and Tottenham have been linked with the winger.

“Charles and his agent wanted to move him out of here and I wouldn’t allow that. I said if he did his best until the end of the season and felt the same way, I would let him go - if he still wanted to go. But it would be on our terms.” Keegan said.

Currently N’Zogbia now recovered from his knee injury and back in training with the rests of United squad. But Keegan insists he still have to learn to be a team player with his individual skill, and if he does it he will be a hell of an asset for us. But he has got to come into the team, to fight for his place by showing mature attitude, I believe Keegan is not blind and will give him his chance to play as soon as the time is right.

Yes it is. When he suddenly decided to take the invitation from Mike Ashley to take the world’s most difficult challenge in football, to manage Newcastle United in January.

Many of the pundits and football ‘experts’ are questioning his decision, not just that they also saying that his days are long gone and he’s digging his own grave by accepting Newcastle’s invitation.

But now, I don’t think they remember of ever writing those negative thoughts about King Kev, and they just said that his big gamble pays off.

The man himself has admitted he took a massive gamble in taking this job. He even said that he can not guarantee the safety from United relegation battle last month. I took that as a very reasonable statement, considering that we don’t have any wins since he came at the moment.

Now, everything seems to working fine with United. He also has won another gambling situation by putting together Newcastle United’s new and exciting three-pronged strike force. With three United men upfront, Owen, Viduka and Martins are succeeded terrorizing our last three opponents defender.

Newcastle now has bagging 10 goals and conceded only 2 from our last four games and 12 points clear of the drop zone. Keegan has won the first round and aiming to take Newcastle to finish this seasin in the position that we only can dream about before he came.

Frankly, the best position that we can get in May will probably not higher than 10th, but that was the sign of a good progress as we are finish in 13th last season. Keegan said he can’t tolerate it if United finish below 13th, because we never ever have been lower than that in our Premiership years and he surely doesn’t want to be the first manager that finish the season below 13th.

“We’ve had big games and games that matter and I’ve found out a lot about my players.” King Kev said on the official site, “We have got a small squad, no-one can argue with that, and yet the players are now starting to say, ‘You don’t need to buy anyone for my position because I’m good enough play here’.”

Speaking about summer revolution at St.James’ Park, Keegan insists he will only targeting three or four additions which are usable to the team rather than have nine or ten new players but will disturbing the team harmony.

“The good news for the owner is that while we might want to spend big money on a few players, we don’t want to bring nine in like they did last year,” he added. “I think we will get three or four quality players and maybe one or two youngsters who can push them from day one. That’s the idea but we’ll have to see how it works out.”

I believe in you King Kev, like I always did before and in the future. Howay the Lads!

I think we could definitely get him if we wanted him. He doesn’t start anywhere near enough games and I reckon he just wants to make sure that at his next club he can go there, play games and for once - be loved. Keegan would assure him of this.

He doesn’t strike me as a ‘Keegan player’. But then again Keegan has praised Viduka to the rafters this week. Owen recently talked about Viduka’s importance in getting him and Martins into the game.

Crouch is no Mark Viduka of old, but he is a lot better on the floor than people give him credit for and has a very good first touch. Given that he doesn’t start many games his goal record is impressive and he appears to have a knack of scoring at vital times in the big games. I think he could come in for Viduka and do extremely well in the system that we’re playing at the moment.

Keegan hasn’t said that we will play this 4-3-3 system next season. But if we do I think Crouch would be the ideal person to replace Viduka. If we got him in we’d have cover if one of Viduka or Crouch were injured.

Assuming this was our default system, If One of Owen or Martins got injured Milner might just find a way back into the side. It seems to make a lot of sense to me. But part of me just can’t imagine Keegan going for Crouch.

Alright, first of all congratulations for your achievements with Pompey this year and making it to the final of FA Cup would be your once in a lifetime experience, so enjoy it while still can Appy Arry.

That sounds a sour introduction? Oh yes, I was in the purpose of writing that as my response for his small arrogancy, by saying he is delighted to refuse taking the job at Newcastle, which we also feel as delighted as he is and we thank God that you did that.

“It was nice to be wanted by a club like Newcastle,” Redknapp said. “On the one hand, people said take on the challenge to prove I could do it with a big club. But on the other, I’ve brought good players in here at Portsmouth and wanted to stay loyal to them. I’m delighted that I did.”

Honestly, I don’t think the Appy Arry is the right man to take the world’s biggest challenge, to manage Newcastle United. It needs more than just experience, more than have won something with other club, even more than have manage a ’small’ club to taste the European league.

I’m glad that Mike Ashley finally realize that United only need a ‘Messiah’ and that’s why he decide to bring back the one and only King Kevin Keegan.

Call us all ‘the Believers’ and we admit that very gladly, yes we are, the Toon Army are all pure believers and Keegan has give something that none of our previous managers can give which is ‘HOPE’.

“I think the summer could be very exciting,” Keegan said as quoted from the Times Online, “I’ve got an idea who I’d like to bring here, but I might be dreaming.”

“I’ve always thought that the most important place is the training ground and the most important thing is the training. I’m not saying they were overcomplicating it, but what we’ve done is trained more, played more football and by doing that, we’ve got the confidence to get the ball and play. Even against Reading we were probably only 80 per-cent, but it still produced a lot of exciting football because of their belief.”

And, when all the training that Keegan did to our players this week can produce more higher level than what they’ve got last Saturday, even it’s only 5 per-cent more, I believe we can have something good this weekend at Fratton Park.

You know what, this is a complete happy week for me, first yesterday was my ‘Officially’ birthday, then Newcastle got wonderful deservedly wins today and then the title from the official site said, well done ‘Eddie’ and it was sounds similar to my first name!

The title was actually given to our 20 year-old stand-in center back, David Edgar. He was playing today in the absence of Steven Taylor and he shows some good performance in the clean-sheet victory over Reading that has made Keegan praise him highly.

Keegan said when Tayls came in with a virus this morning, he founds there were no problems putting David Edgar in, and the reserves skipper payback Keegan’s trust in him with a performance that KK describe as Franz Beckenbauer in his prime wouldn’t have won.

“He’s been terrific since I’ve been here. He’s captained the Reserves, and I felt he deserved his chance.”

Congratulations Edgar, you are the future of the Toon, as he even won a heaped praise from the Royal boss Steve Coppel for his performance today.

“This is another building-brick for Newcastle, and Kevin must be pleased with the performance of his team - and the young lad (David Edgar) at the back. Credit to them for getting a clean sheet today.”

And for more reading pleasure, Keegan still wants his player to even more focus for our next trip to Fratton Park against Pompey next week. It could be another crucial game especially when we’re looking at how they’ve been humiliated us in our own home ground.

Keegan also said that he didn’t want to be known as the manager who got the lowest premier league points.United’s lowest Premier League points total was 43, when we finished 13th last season.

“It would be nice if we can finish the season by continuing to play our football like we can, and send the people here away for their holidays and their breaks thinking: `Wow - next season could be very good for Newcastle United.’” Said Keegan, quoted from the official site.
