NUFC Performance - New Year’s Postmortem

January 2, 2008 · Filed Under Game Review, Newcastle United · Comment

What would be the better option for next season? I personally believe we should stick with Sam Allardyce. I understand why others don’t. But quite frankly it won’t make a jot of difference to the outcome of this season. We need to be realistic in this sense.

But I’m still optomistic about next season if we let things settle down for a while and really focus on what is positive and think about what it is…

So What Could Go Wrong At Newcastle?

December 27, 2007 · Filed Under Game Review · Comment

Just some immediate thoughts which no doubt some of you will probably have mentioned elsewhere.

Well first of all, some of you wanted Barton out - you got it. Some of you wanted Butt out - you got it. Some of you wanted Martins out - you got it. Some of you wanted Cacapa out - you got it. And some of you wanted Taylor, Faye, Emre & Duff in - you got it.

Most notably, a…

Between Sam Allardyce and Arsene Wenger - a Postmortem

December 26, 2007 · Filed Under Game Review, Sam Allardyce · Comment

Any difference between them? Maybe it’s just where their team position in the Premier League table, besides that both have been failed to secured a winable fixtures into the grab. More worst to us, Big Sam and his “lazy” squad totally awful, disintegrated and showing no passion once again.

“We picked a side to live with the tempo we knew they would try and play at, and simply from start to finish we didn’t manage to.” Allardyce…

Merry Christmas Everyone! Newcastle 2 - Derby 2

December 23, 2007 · Filed Under Game Review · Comment

Newcastle start the match with three men forward and leave Geremi on the bench, and at first it looks like Big Sam is preparing the gift for our Christmas with another three points at home.

Damien Duff and Viduka both return to the team with Viduka coming straight into starting eleven while Duff waiting on the bench with Harper, Steven Taylor and Emre.

For Derby side, Steve Howard got his childhood dream come tru and playing inside…

Newcastle vs Brum - Postmortem

December 8, 2007 · Filed Under Game Review · Comment

Jeez, that was bliddy hard work! After giving away our customary comedy goal - courtesy of a really weak challenge from Rozehnal - we were a tad fortunate to snag all 3 points when most had already settled for one.

Played in atrocious conditions, the game was littered with errors and poor passing, and in truth more came from the black ‘n whites than Brum. Having said that, we created more scoring opportunities than Brum, especially…

Looking Through The Eyes Of Toon Army - Arsenal’s Postmortem

December 5, 2007 · Filed Under Game Review · 1 Comment

We fought our way back into the game superbly after conceding another soft goal - albeit one that was brilliantly taken.

We are simply have seen the half-best of Newcastle United performance this season so far. There’s still room for improvement, especially on our back-four but surely we are much, much better than we are recently, even comparing to the winning team against Spurs, Everton and Hams.

For the first time this season we worked really hard…

Now What the Fans Said About Toon Performance

November 10, 2007 · Filed Under Game Review · 2 Comments

In fact we have one point from today’s match. A one point better than our previous away matches, but in general we are still far away from doing the best we can this season. Sunderland is not a decent opponent to get one point out of them, we should get three points today, that’s the better performance.

Big Sam said we have been doing well and get a deserved goal from our response after getting a…

Sunderland vs Newcastle United - Postmortem

November 10, 2007 · Filed Under Game Review · Comment

Sam Allardyce will be relieved after James Milner cross-shots deflected the bottom corner of sunderland posts and get in the net to earn 1-1 draw in a 127th Tyne-Wear derby clash today.

Although Newcastle remain unbeaten at the Stadium of Sh*te, we are being largely outplayed, a fortuitous James Milner strike cancelling out Danny Higginbotham’s first goal for Sunderland. The homeside were the more comfortable in a maelstrom of a match, ensuring the noise in the…

Newcastle United vs Portsmouth - Postmortem

November 3, 2007 · Filed Under Game Review, Sam Allardyce · 2 Comments

Humiliated, disgusting, mismanaged, and more other bad words for Newcastle United appearance today. I was used to be calm wahtever the result is, but definetely not today.

This is for the second time we have game where none of the goals came in from our players.

Both Reading and Portsmouth game was generous enough to give a goal each for us. This is really unacceptable for a team like Newcastle United. Howay maaann, This is NEWCASTLE UNITED!!!

It…

Who did What Against Reading

October 27, 2007 · Filed Under Game Review · 1 Comment

This one came form the very old and still the best forum yet over the internet. If you are the genuine Toon Army, you should be there instead of any other forum nowadays, the forum is for those who have the black bones and white blood.

Shay Given
No communication with his back four, and I honestly think Cacapa lost any faith in Given half way through the second half.

Habib Beye
The only player I don’t have anything bad…
