Newcastle United will have to battle against other Premier League club Arsenal on the Carling Cup third round.
Drawing have been made this saturday and will including other five all-Premier League matches. Blackburn Rovers hosting Birmingham City, Tottenham Hotspur at home to Middlesbrough, Reading entertaining Liverpool and Fulham at home to Bolton Wanderers.
Relatively easy fixtures for the defending champion as Chelsea will only have to face second division Hull City, while Manchester United host Coventry City.
The Arsenal v Newcastle United will be one of the toughest result and will also be the first encounter for both English Premier League side this season, as their first meeting on Premier League fixtures have been postponed last month.
