Funny it is when the other team we will be playing with on Wednesday is busy preparing their squad, while here in Newcastle everyone is busy defending their own thoughts who is right or wrong. I guess, its just the newspapers that is busy reporting what was happened inside United’s training ground.
Imagine this, when we all busy speculating about “Player Power” the Newcastle team and Sam Allardyce are in the training ground, or chatting each other about how they will face the “ultimate” fixture tomorrow. Laughing at each other while reading what the papers have reporting about them.
About what the papers are reporting, Arsene Wenger told Arsenal TV Online, “It is a bit harsh, but firstly I don’t know if it is true and secondly I don’t know what is really going on inside the club.”
“For me Newcastle has a big support every time you go up there and you feel there is a great potential within the club – of course, in order to turn things round you need time.” said Wenger, “I don’t read a lot about that [Allardyce] as I prefer just to focus on facing a good Newcastle side – and I believe that every time we go up there you don’t come back with points if you don’t perform well and that is what we expect from Newcastle.”
Ok, what about Allardyce? The papers said because of the Magpies have not won in five league games, Sam Allardyce having more sleepless nights and put him under increasing pressure from the St James’ Park faithful. What pressure? I can see the pressure is not from the Toon supporters or both Chris Mort and Mike Ashley.
In my honest opinion, it’s normally to have supporters yelling about what they see on the field, but a day later most of them will forget about it and busy working. It is only when they read the papers or the internet they’re being reminding again and get poisonous of what they saw and believe that Newcastle United or Big Sam is really in pressure.
It will be difficult for Newcastle to end the losing run as their next opponents at St James’s Park on Wednesday night are league leaders Arsenal? No problem, we are still developing our strongest ever Newcastle United and we are not yet in the same level with Arsenal team tomorrow, but we will be.
We are the underdog for tomorrow fixture, and most of the Toon supporters know it very well. But we will fight with pride, we will fighting in defence, we will fighting in midfield, we will fighting to create goals, and we will not surrender easily. That’s what we want to see tomorrow from the Newcastle squad, and the players will show it to us like last weekend.
